Axis Security appoints Richard Diston as Training Manager

May 1, 2013

Axis Security has appointment Richard Diston in the position of Training Manager.

A key Axis strategy is the continuous development of our training with both incoming TUPE transfers and new recruits. Furthermore we recognise that officer training does not end with acceptance that staff are familiar with the site assignment instructions and that a long term approach to personal development is necessary.

The business has developed a “three phase” approach to initial training for all incoming officers to include induction into the Axis business, standard security officer knowledge and site operating procedures and client culture. Ongoing training will ensure Axis is providing it’s staff with all necessary skills and will cover area’s such as Customer Service, Health and Safety, Physical Intervention, Incident Management, plus many more. Content will be bespoke for clients to ensure relevance and the ability to evolve as our clients do.

From a formal qualification perspective Axis currently offers all officers the opportunity to achieve NVQ level 2 qualification for Providing Security Services. Over time we will be developing this further towards NVQ level 3, BTEC level 4 and beyond.

Richard joins us with a wealth of training experience and knowledge within the Security Sector.
