Axis update to clients and staff

November 16, 2015

In light of the recent tragic events in Paris, Axis Security would like to extend our condolences and thoughts to all those affected by this horrific attack. We would also like to share an update with our clients and staff.

In the summer of 2014 the UK Government recognised the increased threat of terrorist attacks on the UK mainland and raised the threat level to Severe which means that an attack is considered to be ‘highly likely’. This remains the current alert state.

As seen in the Paris events, terrorists continue to follow the recognised ‘attack cycle’ which includes a period of hostile reconnaissance where they gather information on potential targets. It is during this phase of their operation that we stand the best chance of disrupting their plans.

While the police and the intelligence services are doing everything they can to protect the public, they are relying on the information and support they receive from the public and the wider policing family. It is our continued vigilance that provides them with the best possible insight into a possible attack.

In the words of the Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley, National Police Chiefs' Council lead for counter terrorism on the 14th November ‘be alert, not alarmed'.

If you see or hear anything suspicious, contact police or the confidential Anti-Terrorist Hotline 0800 789 321.
