Making a Dash for it

December 9, 2016

Rather than simply donating money to a charity, the Axis Cleaning and Support team volunteered to support a local secondary school: Passmores Academy in Harlow, Essex, to raise money for a community project.

The Passmores students came up with the idea of a trolley dash for a fun and active way of raising money as well as collecting as much food as possible to donate to the elderly. The chosen location for the trolley dash was Tesco’s supermarket located in the Harvey Shopping Centre, a loyal customer of Axis Cleaning and Support Services.

Wearing Axis Cleaning and Passmores Academy branded t-shirts, the children ran round the supermarket isles filling up their trolleys with as much food as possible in a set time. At the end of the dash, the children managed to raise £210!

Well done and thank you to Passmores Academy, Harvey Shopping Centre and Tesco’s.
