Axis Security wins significant JLL contract

Axis Security is providing a full range of security services to 163 sites managed by property consultancy JLL. The significant contract win demonstrates that Axis has the resource and capabilities to successfully compete with the largest security businesses in the industry.

Axis Security is working in partnership with Evolution, a business providing integrated electronic security and fire systems. The contract includes keyholding, manned guarding and mobile patrols, as well as all system security maintenance.

Total man hours needed to service the two of seven regions included in the contract (the Midlands and South West & Wales) are in excess of 9,000, requiring a force of 220 security officers, 200 of which were transferred to Axis under TUPE in just nine weeks.

Susan Hersee, Regional Facilities Manager at JLL, says JLL’s goal was to create a lasting relationship with the most innovative and efficient supplier:

It was a competitive tender against some of the largest security firms in the industry and Susan says Axis was chosen because it demonstrated that it is approachable, flexible and was honest about what was achievable:

“We have shared goals and objectives, and both parties recognise that a partnership approach is the best way of ensuring those goals are achieved.”

David Mundell, Managing Director of Axis Security, says mobilising a contract of this size was a challenge, but a successful one:

“We have created a bespoke management structure, including a dedicated help desk, a senior management team for each region, and three additional mobile vehicles to support the smooth running of the account.

“Demonstrating our commitment to training has also been very important. Acumen, Axis’ online training portal, has been rolled out across the entire contract; it includes modular videos tailored to JLL, and tests to ensure training content is relevant, interactive and measurable.
